Lenten Book Group: During Lent, we usually set aside some time for some additional spiritual practices. A time-honored practice is to read a book during Lent. This group will meet on Sunday mornings during the adult education hour. The chosen book is
The Heart of Christianity: Rediscivering a Life of Faith by Marcus Borg. Copies of the first chapter will be distributed at the first gathering.
Morning Prayer: Morning prayer will be observed each Saturday in Lent at 9:30am in the sanctuary. All are welcome.
Lent at the Movies: St. Peter's joins with Grace Church, Nutley and St. Paul's, Paterson in this program. Each week, we will view & discuss a movie related to the Sunday scripture. RSVP to the church office if you plan to attend. See the calendar for movie titles.
6:00pm -- Eucharist
6:30pm -- soup & sandwich supper and movie
8:30-9:00pm -- reactions to the movie
St. Peter's Readers: The current selection is
The Plain Truth by Jodi Piccoult and will be discussed on April 6 at 12:00pm in the Fireplace Room.
ECW Tricky Tray: The Spring edition will be on Thursday, April 17, at 7:00pm. You can support the event by donating gifts or baked goods or by setting up Wednesday (at 7) or acting as a "runner" at the event.
